Well, can they? Or do you have to be enrolled in 12 units to get student loans?

Yes, you should be able to, although I'm sure if you'll qualify for stafford loans or not.

You can also defer loan payments while you're enrolled at least half-time.

Lets see. So I can work, run my computer business, write my music, make my movies and take my pictures.

I take six units and only go to classes on days that there are exams. I've switched from a biology to an art/music major so I should be on easy street now.

Basically I only stay in school because I get free health insurance if I do and it saves me $800 a month in drug and doctor costs ;) Plus I get to live on campus and stay in constant contact wtih 1000's of potential customers ;)

I'll never understand how anyone could be a full time student and not go crazy.

Or sit through a class and not fall asleep for that matter ;)

yet you require $800 a month in drugs and think in a computer business college students are potential customers????

Being a full-time student doens't mean you are in class all the time BTW.

I would probably love to work full time and go to class part time but taking 8 years to get a BS doesn't sound too nice to me.

I'm aiming for 20 years.

As long as I'm enrolled in school, I don't have to pay the loans back ;)

damn didn't know the kids from the short bus had an actual college yet alone univeristy.

however, seriously...you do not have to be a student to sell to universities....most are not.

that's got to be one of the biggest line of craps yet.

I have sold 5 figures to universities that I didn't even live in their state.

When did I say I had to be a student to sell to universities?

I said I like to live on campus because I get to know lots of students and don't get lonely. That I make lots of friends that would love to buy a computer from me is just a perk. Sorry I should have said that differently.

The real reasons I like to be at school even though I don't give a sh!t about the classes are:

1. Free health care under my mom's insurance plan until I am 25 -- (Between doctor visits and drugs that saves me about 1000 a month at this point.. serious. i'm expensive.)

2. Lots of people always around (I become withdrawn and depressed if I'm not constantly surrounded by people)

3. Cafeteria within one minute of campus (I don't cook and never will. I'll starve before I cook my own meal).

4. Free publicity (I tend to attract a lot of attention). That and I get to be involved in student politics. Soon I'm going to write for and be a photographer for the school paper. That gives me a lot of influence over how this school works that I wouldn't have if I were not a student.

Really guys there are like 2 million perks to being a student. And imho getting a degree is not one of them.

What's to comprehend? You say being a full time student sucks, you need your mom, you are a lunger, and then college provides you all you need in life, all that publicity. Still you don't see why you shouldn't be there full-time?

Your mom just didn't drop you on your head, she sent you down a flight of 50 stairs.

Actually it's allergy and blood pressure medication ;)

Flonase, Astelin, Allerga, Guaifenesin, and Lotrel. Add that up and it's a lot of money.

Oh and then there are the allergy shots. Last I checked, a vial of that stuff costs a couple grand ;)

Come to think of it, the sinus surgery I am getting on the 25th would have cost around $3000-$4000 at the nice hospital I am getting it at.

Yes, I would say that my $600 tuition pays for itself. Regardless of how often I attend class (I don't go but I do still pass them BTW).

If you need proof of how stupid college really is, one only needs to look at my GPA. It is like 3.5 ;)

Stating merely a GPA is worthless.

If you're saving so much money and seem to have the potential to make so much, why get loans in the first place?
