Can one have too much RAM for Win XP?

But... If you're running paired RAM, shouldn't you get 4 X 1GB or 2 x 2GB sticks to pick up on the 3.2GB? Can't really run 3x 1GB effectively, right?
 
Well you can run 3x1GB, but you'd likely end up in single channel mode which really hurts memory bandwidth. Go with 2x2GB and eat the loss of usable RAM for now.
