can one disable the windows key on a keyboard?

Yeah, in the registry.

Both Keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]

Left Key Only:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
"Scancode Map"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,5B,E0,00,00,00,00


Right Key Only:

Actually, it will minimize many games. I had to disable my left key because I would sometimes acidentally press it when I play UT2004. Usually led to getting my butt fragged.

I always press it when I got for the alt button in Warcraft FT. One day I just got pissed and just ripped it out.
