I just build a system. Kt7A, TB 750@137*7 = 960, 2X128mb crucial memory, ATI Radeon 32DDR, 300W PS.

I make a dual boot system with win 98 and win 2000. Win98 is working fine. But after install and boot w2k(clean install, no other drivers), play around for a couple minutes, then try to shut down or restart the machine. All the icons and the task bar disappear, but the system hangs there and can not shut down or restart. i have to hard shut down or press the restart button on the case.

note: This only happen in W2K, win98 is working without any problem

I had a problem similar to this in Win2K before. Try to go into the Power Management area in the control panel. I think I enabled a check box in there to fix it, but it's been awhile and I am not sure which one...sorry.🙂
