Hi,
I just bought a Dell Insprion 15 laptop and I was unable to use the wired connection to log on the net. I contacted Dell and while I was waiting, I don't know what I did <I think I was trying to finish install the ZoneAlarm firewall> but the wired connection magically appeared, I was able to log on the net and everything went well <downloaded and updates windows, etc.>
I just turned on the laptop a few minutes ago and the wired connect is gone again. Nothing, not even in the device manager <same problem like yesterday>. One more thing, when I tried to reboot the laptop, the wired connection symbol appeared brieftly with a red X mark and then it gone again. I think this laptop is cursed. I never saw this problem before <no thing shown on device manager>. Now I can only log in via wireless but this laptop is need to connect by wired connection.
