Can not get updates to Microsoft Anti-spyware beta

Has there been some change in the status of the Microsoft Anti-spyware program or is the site for getting the updates not functional for some reason ?

Have you updated to the latest version? I believe MS launched a new Antispyware Beta a few months ago, but I'd think they still allow updates for older versions.

I just uninstalled & then downloaded the latest version from Microsoft and installled.

It still will not update properly. It is saying that it can not detect an internet connection. But I know that computer is connected to internet or I could not be sending this reply !!

What's up ???

I just installed the latest version (I recently reformatted), and the update isn't working for me either.

weird, what's the version number you have installed?

point 701 - straight from Microsoft site !!!

same version as me - I'm also seeing this problem now. Must be a Microsoft issue.

If you have a software firewall - check to make sure that ASB is not on the popp list. Mine updates itself automatically as needed. But, Zone Alarm Pro has to be told it has permission to do that.

i had a similar problem, if its still not fixed.. you have to manually delete a file out of the program folder. i dont recall the exact file name, but its gc* something. im pretty sure it was .dll
