Hello network guru's.....

I have a little problem with an accounting program called pegasus senior that runs on novel netware.

A friend wants me to upgrade his works computer systems.
At the moment they are running Novel Netware on the server and windows 98 on 6 computers...

They want to upgrade to W2K Server and W2kpro on the systems..

This would be easy, the problem is that their pegasus senior only runs on Netware, and i have never done anything with Netware...

They are changing to SAGE Accounting but still need to run the old package in tandem while they learn SAGE...

Can pegasus be run on the windows server while they learn SAGE?
Can Netware and Windows Server be run on the same server?
Or would i have to run 2 servers, 1 windows and 1 Netware?

Any help on this matter would be greatfully accepted.

Thanks in advance.... :D

They can't natively be run on the same server (at the same time). Your best bet would be to setup 2 servers. If it's only for occasional file access and not for a production server, you might load NetWare on a PC and run it from there, but make sure you have backups and continue to backup anything that changes.

That being said, I *believe* that VMware will work with NetWare and would essentially allow NetWare to run in a window either on one of the PCs or if you're really looking for trouble, on the server. Your best bet is to dedicate a machine of some sort though.
