Can my brother join the forum? I don't know if it would be allowed, since we would have the same IP address, even though we are completely different people. Also, I'm worried that he might post something stupid and get banned, but I don't want to get punished for something I didn't even do. So if you see a second account coming from my IP address and he posts stuff about how awesome Galbadia Garden is or how he likes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that isn't me.

Another threadcrap post closes another PFI thread

At this time and given your short history of sub-standard and completely oppositional behavior here at AnandTech, no, your younger brother may not join.

Your status here is highly provisional. For the time being, if we find another poster with your same IP, we will simply perma-ban you both and be done with it.

Now, if you prove in the next three months that you are not the angry, attacking, imperiously demanding ass you have been towards us this last week, we will reconsider.

But until then, you need to know that you have already burned through 100% of your good will with us, and accept that fact, as it was entirely your doing.

It's nice to know you're wanted...

You are more welcome than you seem to realize, else you would already have been permabanned.

You behaved incredibly poorly towards us from the start, but have shown some slight signs of improvement in the last couple of days, which is an excellent start towards erasing the terrible first impression that you made.

But make no mistake, you remain on the thinnest of ice here. It would simply be a huge mistake to have your younger brother complicating matters at present.

You did show good wisdom and foresight in asking first, though, and for this I congratulate you.

Here's hoping you keep it up!

Why bother asking anyways? Just join.

If you don't have anything useful to add to the thread, don't post.

If you read it, and understood what the other forum director had posted you wouldn't have made that post.

You are essentially telling the member to disregard what the FD told him to do.
