Can my system run StarCraft 2

Hi, I really want to purchase StarCraft 2 but I'm afraid that my laptop won't be able to run it, and don't wanna have to waste $60 just to find out it wont work. I know my system won't be able to run it anywhere near its full potential but would this be able to run it an minimal settings. I have a Gateway M 6843
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 3062MB RAM
It comes with Intel 965 Express Chipset Family GMA X3100 with 358 MB of shared memory.

Like I said I know it's no where near close to running it at full speed but I don't have money to purchase a new PC but still really want to play SC2, do you guys think my laptop will be able to play it with minimum settings?

Although that is the beta i doubt the final product will improve things much as the X3100 is a dog with newer games. Plus thats the start of a game with 10-20 units on the map and a few structures, a custom map or a mid-late game situation would likely bring it to its knees.
 
The integrated graphics chip will hold you back. It will run, yes, but you will get very choppy performance during battles and perhaps even while looking at a large base build.

We generally prefer it when people search the threads before posting a new one, especially something like this which we know has been covered many times recently. But you are new so you didnt know any better.

Also, your system will run it but its not going to look pretty. Hopefully you are a real gamer and dont care about such things.

Even if he's able to run it the game will turn into a slide show at the slightest hint of action, rendering it unplayable, that's $60 wasted, being a real gamer has nothing to do with it.

IF you have to ask,, the answer is always NO....... at least around AT

Starcraft 2 requires 4.5ghz+ i7,, currently no AMD processor can run it properly, no hex cores no octo, NONE......
 
For like <50, you could pick up a gt240 or a 4850, something in that range. Then you'll be good to go. Unless your computer doesn't have a pci-e slot...
 
Intel integrated graphics are the worst, and that is even an outdated intel integrated chip. You might be able to "run" the game, but I would not bother to try. The performance would be so terrible that you could not possibly enjoy the game. Even worse, the game is expensive and probably will not go on sale anytime in the near future.
