The problem is your PSU has split rails, evga recommends 30A on 12V.So it may work fine but if you plan to upgrade your system shortly it can fall short.

If you aim to switch out your motherboard, overclock that i5 2500k and run that gtx760 then i would consider something like the cx500 in my signature.

This psu could cover anything up to a 7950/gtx670 and has a solid single rail line of 38amp and runs $60 on newegg, other members may have other recommendations but the cx500 is my personal favorite budget psu.

You'd probably be OK, but that PSU isn't really a quality unit. It's not hard to imagine it popping some day and taking a bunch of your stuff with it. I would buy a new one just to be safe.

It should work but I wouldn't go that route if you plan to oc.

Hmm, the product page says "PCI-e 6+2 Pin x 2"

http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/powersupply/thunder/thunder-500w.html

So I would think it has the connectors you need. As others mentioned, the power supply should be adequate, but it may not take well to overclocking, so you may even want to card a card that doesn't come overclocked.

BTW, I just want to say that I don't get the hate for Cooler Master power supplies. I have been using them in my own and others' computers for years without issue.

I think its a typo on the Indian CM site, it should have 2 x 6pin since it has the same model number (RS-500-ACAB-M3) as the main coolermaster site . You may need to email them to verify or if you can find it at a store there and just look at the info on the package.

That PSU should easily handle a 760 if the 12a specs are accurate. And Jaydip, dual rails are not an issue vs single rail. The cards TDP is 170w (about 14.2a) and each rail is at least 20a. Most dual rail PSUs are single rail anyway.

You won't break anything if you put the new drive in with your existing power supply. If games start crashing with the new card, you'll know what you need to do.

Nvidia cards usually come with a dual molex to 6pin adapter.

That ASUS card only needed a single 8 pin connecter btw.

You should be OK, I couldn't find any info as to how the 12v rails are arranged on that PSU. Just check the 12v while running something GPU intensive if the rail doesn't drop too much and it's stable you're set.

but what i am buying is having 2x6pin so safe to use molex?

Buy the card, use the connectors it comes with to work with your power supply, have fun with your new card.
