Hello, I have a decent desktop for gaming. 2500K i5 cpu and an EVGA 760

I am building a small itx system to take on trips with this case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...cm_sp=&AID=10440897&PID=3332167&SID=u00000687

And I picked up this silverstone psu...

Originally I was going to grab a new itx and an i3 and pair that up with an old gtx 660 (non-ti)
For the mini rig...

However I started thinking if I could just make a small system and sell the large one (rather than have 2 seperate systems)

I know gpu manufacturers have recommended wattages for psu's, but the one I have is very effecient and has a 37 amp 12 volt rail.

Do you think that psu could support an i5, 2 sticks of ddr3, one 3.5" hdd, one optical drive and either a Nvidia 760 or 770. I know that both cards will in fact fit in the case.

Case will have one 120mm fan. For USB everything would run off seperate power except for occasional use of a portable 2.5" hdd wich gets fed power via usb.

Thank you very much in advanve.

Mobile links don't seem to work for me, don't know about others, but the above should work for desktop browsers.

Should be fine with either in theory, as the PSU has 444w available on the 12v rail, and the system will probably only use 340w even with a 770.

GTX760 would be probably 270w or less, and 770 would be 340w or so.

Might want more than a single 120mm fan though potentially, especially with a 770, due to heat.

^ thank you very much for the desktop links. I'll edit it...

I will check to see if the case can take another fan. Thanks for the recommendation.

You can have an i7 with a 7970 or 780 in the sg06 with the 450w psu if you find a short enough card or mod the case. Plenty have shown this on the sg05/06 thread on hardforum.

Will work, no problem. Get a Z77 chipset ITX board (but probably NOT the Gigabyte), use your existing CPU and GTX 760, use two sticks of your RAM (unless you REALLY need 16GB). Sell off your old PSU/case/excess RAM/mobo. BAM! Single tiny system.

The case specs say it can hold a card up to 10'',that leaves the majority of the gtx770 cards out, besides the ACX Evga cards while the majority of the good gtx760s like the asus dc2,the zotac amp and the ACX Evga sc should fit no problem.

Uh..... I already own the case and already own a gtx 770 and as I previously stated I know what fits.... I have an EVGA 760 with the acx cooler that is elible for "step up". EVGA dvertises the 760 at 9.5" and is in fact 9.5"...

EVGA adverises both the ACX 770 and reference 770 at 10", so the 770 is 10" and will in fact fit...

This is why I stated I already knew they would both fit... LoL. :)
