Can my motherboard work in an SLI set-up?

Hi, was planning on buying a second GTX 760 but was just wondering if anyone could help me out in figuring out whether this motherboard will work in SLI or not. MSI Z97 PC Mate LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard It says that it officially only supports CrossFire but since the motherboard has 2 PCI-EX 3.0 slots wouldn't it also be able to run in an SLI set-up? or would it not work at all or only partially? Thanks for any help with this.
