Yes, it will work. PCI-e 1.0 and 2.0 have full intercompatibility

yep and certainly grab another gig as having just one isnt going to cut it for gaming.

Absolutely, grab another gig of ram at least. Maybe a 2GB stick considering how cheap it is.

Since that card is 70$ AR and you have a 500W PSU, it should handle the two below cards fine:

A HD4830 with custom cooling for 83$ AR or a HD4850 from XFX that vents the air outside for 90$ AR. Those will blow the HD4670 out of the water performance wise and should be also quiet (though do check on the noise first!).

And yeah, definately get that RAM at least to 2GB.

As for your question, if you decide to go with the HD4670, it will work fine with your motherboard.
