GA-EP45-UD3P Gigabyte Motherboard
650 Watt Corsair PSU

Looks like the PSU is sufficient but it says it is dual slot video card does that mean I need 2 side by side open slots ? Or just enough room to take up to PCI slots (and still 1 connection?)

Will it blend ? :eek::D

It will work. Only need one slot to plug the card in but the card's size will cover up the slot right below the graphics slot.

Will work without problems. Since you are running a P45 chipset, you probably have an older CPU as well. Fermi architecture is far more sensitive to CPU speed. Even a Core i5 750 processor may bottleneck the GTX480.

For this reason, I'd probably recommend the GTX470 with a P45 CPU, or alternatively wait for HD6970 before dropping $400+ on a GTX480. Just my 2 cents.

I won it in a contest, it would still be a significant upgrade from my 9800GTX+ though I assume ? Even with a bottleneck ? I don't have a monitor capable of displaying those ultra-high resolutions anyways...

Yes, still a huge upgrade. Don't worry about a bottleneck.

Although if you want to think about it, just think happy thoughts: You'll have a nice card to transition over to a Sandy Bridge upgrade.
