Interesting you went nvidia video with an amd chipset... No SLI without hacks.

The 980a boards work great for SLI as long as your not overclocking the CPU. (huge vdroopa, my old m4n98td Evo has 0.12 droop)

It will work fine as long as you have only Nvidia GPUs.
