Can most core 2 duo boards support core 2 quad processors?

Isn't the socket the same? 775? I have a Q6600 and I was wondering if it would run. Anyone have any experience? Thanks.

All you need to do is check the ecs website. It should have a cpu support section next to each motherboard. It will probably work, but don't expect ecs boards to overclock. Some do, some don't. It's a low end board with fewer bios options.

It's soon to be halloween. I hear they're being given out this year. Hit up Silicon Valley.
