edit: I got a quote once, but it was when I first joined and didn't know about the keeping of quotes. My life just hasn't been the same.

It's not how long the ride lasts, it's how much fun you had while on it.

Per the "moderator's handbook"

"The ones who possess the power of moderation must abide by moderator's law at all times. In the granting of custom titles, the council of the mods must approve such decisions by a vote of at least seventy one point five percent. The title granting can then only proceed when there is a full moon and it is the month of September"

I don't make this crap up, it's right on page 389 of the moderator's handbook, 2005 edition......

That isn't published until the equinox, when the mods gather around a bonfire in the woods and dance naked until dawn.

As far as I've been told, anyone who even asks for pics is no longer with us...

Little known fact:

If a moderator doesn't like you, he or she can take away your Elite Member status even though it's forum members who nominate you for it in the first place

More wrong than correct. Elites were never nominated by members until recently. Members are chosen by us to wear the Elite title whether or not they were nominated by anyone else based on criteria freely available for your reading in a forum FAQ. Members in the habit of posting half-baked misinformation have a less than zero chance of ever becoming Elite.

Can you name 3 members who have had their "Elite" status taken away?
