My friend from Michigan mentioned yesterday that if you take I-75 going to Detroit, then you will encounter exit 69 which leads to Big Beaver Rd. Is this true?

LOL. Michigan has a sense of humor. I thought my friend was just pulling my leg. On the other hand, Tampa natives are called Tampons, so I guess I'd rather have an Exit 69 to Big Beaver Rd than be associated with a ladies hygienic tool.

I can confirm as well. I smile every time I notice the sign (I live in the area).

My wife and I went there for a wedding and actually got off that exit.

Climax, North Carolina
Sweet Lips, Tennessee
Sugar Tit, South Carolina

I wonder what some people were thinking when they were naming towns.

Edit: grammar

Yep it's true, I'm at about exit 64 off I-75.

They almost got it again 100 miles north. Exit 168, E Beaver Road. Man, why couldn't they have made it 169 to top it off :) Link

Lets not forget Spread Eagle, WI. I was there about 2 weeks ago.

That's not too surprising, Big Beaver Rd is a pretty major road. That's the exit you'd use to get to The Somerset Collection.
