Can Mac OS 9.2.2 be set up to let you pick from multiple printers on a network???

Here's the situation. I have a Mac OS 9.2.2 computer lab at work. It's connected to a central Mac OS 9.2.2 server. There are two printers connected to the network as well. One is a Laserjet and the other is a deskjet. As of right now the server sees both printer and so do the client. The problem is on the client side, I can only choose ONE printer as the default printer. It won't let me pick which printer to print inside the application. I would have to manually goto the chooser and then switch printers.

Mac OSX has a printer list and it works fine with that but upgrading every Mac in the lab to OSX is NOT an option...
