beep-media-player streams mp3 well but plugin for wma doesn't compile properly on ubuntu for some reason but I was talking to another fellow who found a way around it..let me know if your interested.

also I have gotten xine to stream .wma and .wmv if your interested in that or are you still playing with mplayer?

oh man i scrapped that mplayer, i'd love to see how you got xine working, think maybe you can email me your sources.list? i'd like to see if i have a backport missing 🙂
