Like to be able to issue certificates for wireless computers. I am learning 2003 server and I was wondering if Linux was also capable of fullfilling a role as a CA.

Sure, all that's required for a CA is to have a certificate of your own with which to sign the client certs.

To take it a step further you can use Mandrake's 10.x built in extranet version of apache 2.0 and build a nice CA based extranet. With your CA you can do SSL based FTP and do some things with the radius on linux that could put you on the map in the IT world for network security and production.
