I'm talking about just leaving it on and I guess letting people leech off of me. I'm not downloading anything. I noticed that when I leave it on my internet crawls like 56k. If I exit Kazaa it automatically speeds up.

That would be the RIAA illegally hacking into your machine and getting a file list that you are experiencing. Can I have your TV when they lock you up?

Ok if people are uploading there is also some downloading going on. Verification.

ALso if you are maxing out your upload then you are going to see a Huge lag because when you click theat goes up and the road has alot of traffic.

No, using bandwidth consumption programs like Kazaa actually speed up your connection.

:D

If people are leeching off you, your bandwidth is going to be sucked into a black hole. Just turn it off when you're done.

Didn't you just answer your own question?

Nocturnal, you need to start thinking before you post this crap. Anything on your computer that is constantly sending data is going to slow down your net connection.

THINK MAN, THINK!

If people are downloading from your computer, that'll slow down your computer. Try playing an on-line game with a constant ping monitor like Counter-Strike. You'll have a ping in a sequence such as this:

30 -> 1100 -> 29 -> 400 -> 35 -> 800 ...

Just slow it down 5-10KB/s of your max upload. That should be enought to stop the lag. It only slows down if you are uploading at your max (at least noticible lag)

Kazaa takes up a lot of internet resources. Check out your task manager. Closing Kazaa LITE even can sometimes drop CPU usage from 90 some percent to much much lower levels.
