Can laptops withstand long usage?

i have a dell latitude c400 PIII 1.2Ghz w/ 512KB L2 cache. I use it for SEVERAL hours no problem. 🙂

Allright... I'll bite:

HP Omnobook XE3 PIII 800MHZ being run as a server on FreeBSD, uptime... a little over a year

Dell C600 PIII 850MHZ Runs everyday from around 10AM till about Midnight 7 days a week.

So yeah.. laptops can withstand long usage 🙂

bought my Toshiba in 99 and it runs great still. For a period of a year, i ran it 24/7. Now my brother uses it about 14 hours a day. It's strong!
