'92 Prelude - I have power windows/sunroof but no power locks...I was wondering if it's possible if they could install power locks/keyless entry on it?

Does anyone know if it's possible, and how much it could be? Figured I'd ask around here :)

Thanks~

depending on how you look at the answer.

the answer is NO, because you must have power door locks to have it controlled remotely.

or the answer could be YES, because YOU will be the one installing the power door locks.

it's been done b4 and they sell complete kits to do it if your car doesn't already have power locks.

Stop confusing him. Give him the simple answer. YES. All you need is the power door lock module and relay. If you don't feel comfortable doing the install have an installer do it for you. It shouldn't take a competent installer more than 3 hours to do keyless entry.. especially if they have experience installing on your car model before.

You can always get anything to work, if you have enough money and time available..

But, it's probably not worth the trouble, because of all the time and money involved..

So the answer is Yes and No

Yes, my brother got powerlocks and a keyless entry thing installed on his truck. It didn't have powerlocks before.

Sure can. The locking motors can be had from BB for around $30-40 plus installation each. Or if you know someone that works there, they cost less than ~$10/each plus installation.

I paid $50 in labor for each door (2-door Ranger pick-em-up) 3 years ago to have the actuators installed....

Sounds good - I'd much rather get this installed then have to use the damned key every time...I guess I'm just getting lazy ;)

If you already have power locks then you just need to splice into the relay wires and connect them to your keyless entry or alarm module.
