Can .jpg's be placed anywhere on the page in Dreamweaver 3?

Can .jpg's be placed anywhere on the page in Dreamweaver 3?

As you can see I am very new to web design.

I was trying to insert a .jpg in Dreamweaver and it seemed that I could only insert it at left, center, or right justification.

Is it possible to insert the .jpg's anywhere I want?

Also, can I choose the spacing between the .jpgs?

use a table an insert it there. or use a layer however netscape does not recognize the layers that dw uses.

One of the easiest ways to do it is to make layers of virtually everything - make sure they are not overlapping - then when its all nice you go "convert to table" and then netscape can read this...its very difficult to decode later, but its a simple way to set a page up.

Yeah, do what Skoorb said. I was a diehard notepad user till I got DW3. Man, I love layers...

Are there any manuals/books that you may recommend that will teach me how to use Dreamweaver 3.


I don't plan to become a professional designer but I would like to be able to design a few pages.

Heck, I don't even know what layers are...yet.
