I have an eVGA 7950GX2 that I recently bought and am looking to Step-Up to G80 when it comes out. However, I opened a non-resealable bag containing a DVI-VGA converter because I needed it for testing. Am I still allowed to step-up, or have I violated any rules?

Sorry, if this seems like a stupid question, but I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to spending $500 on a single component and warranty.

you should be ok. As far as i know as long as everything is there then it's ok. If some accessories are missing then they'll just charge you the value of the accessory when you step up.

I think you are supposed to open that bag. The only thing stopping you from steppin' up is either a huge delay in the G80 or you pour water on the card.
