Can incompatible memory pass memtest86?

My A7N8X rev. 1.04 died from bios corruption, after running 100% stable at 200FSB for six months. I bought an NF7-S rev. 2 and put the same parts in it that I had in my A7N8X. I can't run 200MHz FSB in this new mb. Its stable in Prime95 (overnight), memtest86 (13 passes), NFS Hot Pursuit 2, and 3DMark01, but in UT2003 I get crashes to desktop, especially in large maps. I've also had crashes to desktop in IE. When I back off to 166MHz FSB, its stable as a rock in everything.
My early revision HyperX PC3500 is known to not be compatible with rev. 2 nforce2 boards. At first I thought that this new mb just can't do 200FSB, but I found I can get into Windows at up to 220FSB and run Prime95 without errors at 215FSB. So now I'm thinking that the memory just doesn't work in this mb.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I've heard that but I thought it was for the new rev. of the hyperx. I could be wrong.
I'm using the bios that's supposed to fix it (14).

I called Kingston and they said they want to replace the memory with their new revision because they don't think mine works with the NF7-S rev. 2.
Great service. They are shipping first via 2nd day air after taking my credit card number in case I don't send my old memory to them.
I hope this solves the problem.

That is good service. Good job, Kingston! Let us know how the new ram works out for you.

Okay, I'll report back when I get it.
Yes, I was thrilled when I got off the phone with Kingston. That was suprisingly excellent service.

Got the new memory from Kingston. It works! Yes! I'm running prime at 215FSB right now- just getting started....

Edit: 220FSB x 11 multi. Priming... UT2003 flies very smoothly.

So it looks like the answer to the question in my post is: Yes, memory that is incompatible with the chipset can pass memtest86. That sure throws a wrench in the gears of testing.

AMD users using win xp d/l the pre-compiled version right? and how do I use this thing? how do I stop it from running? and how do I read it?

Boot from floppy with memtest86 v.3 (or CD if you use the .iso version). It will start automatically. On the right it shows what test its running. Under that it shows how many loops it has run and if there are errors.
