I use Galeon on my Debian at home, and I have an awesome option for disabling pop-up ads. It works GREAT !!!

At work I am forced to use Win2000. Is there anyway to disable the popup ads in Internet Explorer ?

not that i know of.. at least, not without some 3rd party software.

if you go to internet tools, / options, and set your security up kind of high-- i think that might block some popups.

you might get some add-on software that can do it but IE can't out of the box. how else would slate make any money?

Most pop-up stopping programs give you the option to press the CONTROL or SHIFT key on your keyboard to allow any type of pop-up window to appear. So that is how you can still PM someone here on the AT forums and any other site which has a pop-up window appear.

enjoy :)

Check out Crazy Browser. It uses IE but gives it more functionality. Stops pop-ups and gives you tabbed browsing.
