So,

My brother would be sending me ~800 Mb of photographs, of which I need to select few for an ad. I am going away for a weekend, and was just thinking if it would be possible to configure ICQ or Messenger to automatically accept files from certain sender? I would leave my comp on, and files would be there when I return on Sunday... I am leaving before he has a change to start sending the files.

Please instruct how to do this if possible... or suggest another possibility.

Thanks!

ICQ yes.

Go to the user's name and override the preferences. I forgot the exact steps though... I'll have to check later when I am at home.

But yes ICQ can.

Suggestion: use NetMeeting. You can "host" a conference that requires a password to join, and you can set it to auto-accept calls.

Right or left click (depending on your setting) on the user to access the menu.

Alert/Accept Mode

In File Transfer, Override Global Prefs and select Auto Accept.
