Can i use windows 98 full version to upgrade 95?

I tried it Last week, didn't work. It said to get a upgrade Win 98 cd. I had the FULL version. It didn't work for me. Maybe it can I guess, but my experience says no. GL man... take DN Disturbs advice, just Format and install fresh.

Can i use windows 98 full version to upgrade 95? or do i have to use a upgrade version?
Yep. Just rename all instances of WIN.COM on your hard drive to something like WIN.OLD. Then run Win98 setup normally from DOS using a Win98 install diskette or if you have a bootable Win98 CD then just boot from that. When Setup prompts you for the install directory, it may ask to install to C:\WINDOWS.000 or something like that. Instead, manually select the install directory to be C:\WINDOWS to overwrite your current Windows directory and proceed with install.

Back up your system before attempting this and proceed at your own risk.

a real full version disc will install clean or upgrade (for Win 2K anyway). OEM discs will not upgrade unless you do the folder changing thing. remember that there is a difference between an OEM "full" disc and a real full disc.
