I'm putting together a new build. I have a Phenom II 965 BE 140w CPU. I bought a Coolermaster TX3 for cooling.
I'm not going to OC, and so I thought I'd be ok at this pricepoint.
HOWEVER, I just realized that the Coolermaster is rated at for CPUs up to 130w and my CPU is 140w. Is it a big mistake to use this cooler? (I have not put the rig together, so I have no idea what the temps are going to be like. My case is a simple two fan -- one intake one exhuast -- model.)
If it is a mistake are there any recommendations for around $30 for a cooler that is ok for a 140w CPU? There are tons of coolers at this pricepoint, but most of them (e.g., Zalman's entire lineup) are not rated this high.
Thanks for your help.
