Can I use this case bracket to cool my SKL-900U?

Well, the quest for quiet PC that cools sufficiently.
I got the Antec SKL3700AMB case with one 12cm fan intake and one 12cm exhaust. The problem is noise. So I plug them in the fan only plugs on my True Antec 430W PSU. My cpu fan is the 9CM Sunon and it's loud. I was wondering if I can remove the fan and used this Zalman FB123 bracket with a 12CM fan over the heatsink to cool it and reduce the noise.
What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

My CPU is idle at 44-46C and full load at 55-60C with the Sunon 9cm fan running full speed. Very loud.
My case temp is hot also, but I don't know what to do. Normal case temp is 35-36C, full load 38-40C.
Give me some good suggestions without breaking the bank please. Those who has this case please give me some inputs.
My Rig is in the profile below.
Thanks.

i dont think the space between each fin is wide enough to allow enough air to flow through but I could be wrong.

I am thinking that the big fan might not have enough pressure to push the air through the fins. While the 9CM Sunon is right up against the top of the heatsink which will provides more pressure to push the air through the fins.
I gotta find another way.
Thanks.

Hey Bad_dude, I have the same case. I have a Epox 8rda+ and Barton 2500+. My temp is 43c idle 48-50c load. IM using the Coolermaster Heat pipe with the 7000rpm fan.(loud). Front intake in 120mm and the rear the same. My system temp is 36c.
I was thinking of adding another fan, and you just game a great idea with that bracket. I will add another fan and have it blow on to the MB, or remove the intake and use it on the bracket, and see what happens.
What kind of CPU are you running, or what kind of OCing are you doing that gets you those temps.

The problem is, I haven't been able to find a quiet 120mm fan. Even the more quiet ones I've tried still sound like a dive bomber.

Then consider the huge center hub they have. The hub covers most of a heatsink and interferes with cooling. See here. I use that zalman bracket but it's best suited for a 92mm fan. I did get better cooling results with the 92mm fan.

So I have stuck with a 92mm ys tech fan on a slk800 and have it controlled by a fan controller. Even on high it isn't too loud. Helps me oc my 2500+ to 3200+.
