can i use these for panaflo tails?

can i use this to directly replace the bare leads that come with a panaflo? or do i have to get a 3 pin tail and THEN use the above converter?

There is no conversion going on there, other than the physical connectors themselves. I have a Panaflo fan connected to just such a connector though. Using the two pins it had on it on two of the three pins shown on the adapter you posted. Just make sure the color coding on the 2 pins match the color coding on the 3 pin connector you adapt it with. The third pin only tells the fan to throttle...
