Can I use the stock fan from my 3500+ with an X2 3800?

see subject for question. My x2 3800 from new egg just comes with the processor. I imagine the fan would still be fine for use with it right?

Should be able to. It'd be just like any other processor upgrade. Your just swapping out the chip.

The stock fan for those two chips I believe is the same, so yes you should be able to use it.

But honestly, who uses stock cooling?
