i know you can use the highpoint controller on my kt7-r without any issues, but i ran into a problem while trying it on my new Iwill. it said that no array was set, but i dont want one.

any thoughts?

hehe, its enabled. when it initializes the raid bios, it says that i dont have an array configured. i dont want a raid config, i just want the extra ide controllers!

thanks for the reply!

With that in mind, you need to move the jumper to "disable raid" then. Look in your manual for the location.

From your last reply I'm not sure you understood my post. I was pointing out that jumper on pg-7 needs to be disabled.

If you did understand me, then GREAT! lol...

aaaaahhhhhhhh 😱

i thought you were making sure it WAS enabled....i see now..so i need to disable the raid, then i can use the extra two controllers as normal IDE?

thanks again guys/gals

ok, so the raid is disabled, and as i thought, nothing can be detected from those two IDE ports now. am i missing something?

loosbrew, I'm not sure if you have gone here or not, but this is the BEST KK266 FAQ available.

There are several variables to deal with (jumper, boot order in BIOS, etc.), so read that through and see if it helps!
