can I use SATA and 4 IDE devices?

I'm using a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board rev 2.0, with the 1008 bios update and the latest silicon image drivers for SATARAID

I installed my new SATA HD, created a smaller 30gb Partition, installed windows, created another partion on the SATA with the rest of the space (it was a 300gb HD)

Then I plugged my 2 ATA IDE HDs back in but I only see one. I do see both of my CD-ROMs though.

Does my SATA drive take away one of my primary ATA slots? Or is there a way for me to have all 4 ATA devices + the SATA drive?

I do not know about your board, but it is unlikely that the SATA and IDE drives are on the same cotroller, though possible. Switch the others around to other ports and see if it is the same drive no matter what the configuration or not. If it is the same drive, check the slave/master jumper, and test it without the others.
