Can I use SATA @ 6.0Gb/s ?

I need to buy two identical drives. I want 2 1TB and one says 3.0Gb/s another says 6.0Gb/s

Can I use this drive for example, at full potential speed?

Its too expensive one problem also I heard it gets a 5.9 in W7 and what not.. Thanks for answering my question to all.. Thank you

Your motherboard would need to support Sata 6.0 GBPS.

for a mechanical drive it is not going to make a differnce. just get whatever is cheaper, SATA 3 drives will work fine with a SATA 2 controller.
