The mobo is rated for 266 Mhz bus for RAM, and it clearly says in the manual that it supports up to PC2100.
I however saw in quite a few posts on various forums that some of you have the same mobo (ASUS P4B533) with PC 2700 3200 or 3500 RAM...
I purchased some 512 Mo DDR Samsung PC 3200 ref PC3200U-30440-B2 / M368L6423DTM-CC4 / CL3
AND it is not recognised by my mobo, is the RAM faulty or do i need to change some settings to make it work ???
Even without any OC at all, the POST system tells me that there is a problem becaus eof OC and that there is a memory problem...
Today I use PC2100 with a FSB of 160 and 1:1 ratio, therefore my RAM bus runs at 320 Mhz, I wish to achieve FSB 169/170 (RAM speed 338 or even better 4:3 ratio therefore ram at 450) and this is why I bought the PC 3200 !!!
