Can I use same USB for image and regular backups? (with EasUS Todo)

When using software like EasUS Todo, can i use the same usb drive for image files and regular daily backups? I just bought a big enough USB drive which also allows for fast image backups.

When wanting to do both backups types (image files and daily regular backups) to the same USB drive, are there certain things I have to look out for? Do I need to create 2 partitions on the usb drive, one for the image files and another for the daily backups or is that not necessary? I will use EaseUs Todo backup software.

Image files (bit by bit copying) are the result of cloning, and cloning usually deletes anything else on the drive. Backups normally require restoration. I suggest you use separate drives.

When you create a full backup (instead of image), can you use that to restore from on a new harddisk if needed?
