Can I use ReadyBoost with a tablet?

Hi everyone,

I have one of the cheap WinBook tablets with only one gig of ram. I never use ReadyBoost, but it would seem ideal for this tablet, since the ram is used >50% all the time. The hard drive is almost full as well, so sometimes programs or photos wont even open because there is not enough ram or hard drive space for virtual memory.

However, I cant seem to enable ReadyBoost because the hard drive is an SSD. Is there any way I can get around this and enable it?
 
If I remember correctly, ReadyBoost is a cache for files that exist in duplicate on the hard drive. It won't give you more usable memory or hard drive space, and any USB 2.0 flash you plug in will probably be slower that the media you'd be caching.
 
ReadyBoost will not work if the boot drive is an SSD. No way around it as far as I know.. They do some tests to check the drive speeds and disable it if its faster than a certain threshold. Only choice here is to get a larger SSD or delete some files to make room on the current SSD. Lots of junk files takes up a lot of space..
