Ok, I want to test my overstock machine, I have almost all the parts. I haven't ordered the ram yet, but will. I was wondering for the time being could I use a stick of PC66 RAM that I have.

Yeah, if thatr RAM is high quality Maker (like Crucial, Corsair, Kingston) and CL2, it should be able to boot at least at PC100 and CL3.

You might be able to, but you would need to set the mobo so that it didn't try to overclock it too bad. You might be able to get it to run at say 100 MHz, but it probably isn't going to be able to run at 133 MHz.

Ok, it's a 128MB Stick from crucial. I ordered it for my Compaq 5050. I just want to see if it will boot and it will only be temporary. Would I fry my RAM doing this or fry any other things?
