Can I use pc 2400 or pc 2700 in an ECS K7S5A?

Can i use pc 2400 or pc 2700 ddr ram in a K7S5A and just "underclock" it? I realise that I wouldn't get any more speed than pc 2100 ddr ram I was just wondering if it would work if thats the only ram I had at the moment?

Yes. As with SDRAM, the DDR operating clock comes from the mainboard, the DIMM syncs up to this, and the PCxxx rating just denotes maximum allowed speed.
