Can I use my RT314 as a sort of IP forwarding/proxy type server?

I want to set up a proxy server here so that someone could type my IP and port into Internet Explorer, and have all their data come through my connection.

Would it be possible to do this by forwarding all incoming data at port 8080 back to 192.168.0.1:80? So then if the person put my IP:8080 into IE, would the data get routed through my router? I'd be surprised if it's this simple, but I want to check and see. Thanks!

Yeah, I figured I could do something like that too. Do you know of any good, free, Windows proxy software?

I was hoping it'd be a simple to do as my initial idea, but I doubt it. Though maybe I'll have to try it out next week sometime.

Well, I just ruined my 7777 posts. 😱🙂 Thanks for that link! I didn't realize AnalogX had a proxy program out. I'll have to try it sometime.
