Can I use my PC with wireless card as a router?

Hey, I'm at college now, and there are two problems, one is that routers aren't allowed, and two is that they require special software installed on all the PCs, so Xbox Live won't work. My pc is hooked up via ethernet, I was wondering if I could use the wireless card in it so other things could connect to it?
Also, is there a wireless connector thing for Xbox that supports WPA or WEP?

Oh, and my friend wants to use Gamespy Arcade but apparently the ports are blocked or something, is there a way for him to reroute ports on his own computer so it will work?

He should ask the admins to open the ports. That's the only worthwhile thing to do. Well that and study. And drink. And get laid.
 
Lol, ok, routers aren't allowed, but a PC can't be used as an access point for wireless devices to connect to and it'll reroute the connections? That way the school would never know, heck, maybe they wouldn't even care, I know other people have done it(I pick up their wireless networks when they turn their computers on), plus the software they want installed is already installed on the computer, so everything is fine.

And I doubt the admins would open the ports, there's no way to reroute them using a firewall software or something?

Yes, they can. But that is essentially a router and it would hopefully get someone's network access removed if they tried it.

They setup the firewall the way they did for a reason. If you want it changed, ask.

Don't know, it's their own thing.

And the reason they gave for it is to make sure people don't have any viruses or security flaws when they log onto the network, an xbox wouldn't have any of those anyhow.
