Can I use my old HD+Windows w/ my new mobo and cpu

I'm trying to use my old HD with all my stuff still on it on my new Neo2 Platinum and A64 3200+. I can boot to a floppy ok, but when I try to boot the HD I see the BSOD for a split second then it restarts. Am I trying the impossible?
Old box had an AthlonXP 2000; CD; DVD; SBLive; FX 5700 Ultra
New box has A64 3200+ Winchester; Neo2 Platinum; floppy drive and the hard drive I mentioned. No CD, DVD, or soundcard. I'm wondering if Windows is freaking because all the other stuff isn't there or ?????

You can do it, but it's not that simple.

All of the chipset info and drivers will be wrong, so of course XP won't boot without some help.

I think I'll just be patient and wait for the hard drive to come...🙂
