Can I use my gaming rig as HTPC?

I've got a decent gaming machine -- Q9300 @ 3.5 ghz, 4 GB DDR2, GTX 260-216, 2X WD Black 640gb. Throw in a blu-ray drive and maybe some more storage and it'll make a great HTPC. But I don't want to do my gaming in the living room. Comp goes in the den, TV in the living area. So here's my questions.

1. What's the cheapest, easiest way to stream video from my computer to my TV? Wireless is preferred.

2. I'd like to be able to game on my machine while someone else is using it to watch movies. Is that possible? How do I make windows media center show up on my TV in another room while I'm playing L4D in the den? Do I need some sort of virtualization or is there an easier solution?

Basically I want it to be like I've got two computers: an HTPC hooked up to my TV and the gaming rig in the den. But without actually spending the $500 it would take to buy another machine. Suggestions? Thanks.
