I need to get a new HDD and Best Buy has a good deal ($0.25/GB) today. I have a $10 AMEX gift card that I got for filling out a survey - can I use it in addition to my regular credit card?

You should be able to use the gift card if the accept AMEX. I don't think you can purchase using two credit cards. For example, $100 item paid $25 on Visa and $75 on MasterCard.

Yeah, actually you could even pay $25 cash, $25 on Visa, and $50 mastercard. They'll take your money however. :p

If my little store in the mall with only 7 locations could take any combination, I'd be shocked if Best Buy couldn't.

You can use three payment methods. It's not odd to have customers pay part credit card, part debit card and part cash. Annoying, but it happens.

I've done it, purchased a laptop and split the payment between direct and mastercard.

I've done it but tell them BEFORE they begin ringing up your purchase, so they know.

The former cashier says:
Most registers allow this, even old ones. Normall they just hit 'Credit' and swipe the card(or activate the swiping machine for you), instead they will punch in $10.00 and do the same.
