Dave, he's talking about Q3, maybe he's talking about texture comression?
also, does "legacy texture compression" only do the framebuffer, not the textures, in 32-bit, right?
anyhooo.....
here's how you disable texture compression in Q3
*********
1.17 Q3
/seta r_ext_compress_Textures 0
**********
1.25 Q3 or Q3:Team Arena
/seta r_ext_compressED_textures 0
**********
enter at the console. the command is not case-sensitive
i'd keep the compressed textures on tho (use a "1" instead of a "0"
, as it adds immensely to the framerate and on a 5500 presents almost zero quality issues (very minor)
