Can I use Firefox 3?

I switched from Firefox recently because every single upgrade was the same, and Firefox was getting very slow. I switched to Chrome and I love it but I hate the bookmarks manager so much I am not able to adjust 🙁

I had a problem recently with FF 15.0.1 where my local .html files will not open no matter what I did in the default programs and file associations, it was always opening in WMP, but the moment I installed Chrome .html files started opening normally.

With that being said, I don't want to give FF 15.0.1 or any new FF for that matter a chance. I remember back in the old days how FF 3 was awesome and worked just right.

1) Can I install it now and be safe? or am I missing out on security features?

2) If I can install it, where to get the latest v3 version of it?

Since .html now opens properly with Chrome and not WMP, I would suggest you try Firefox 15.0.1 again. Remove all your old Firefox folders and profiles and do a full clean install of the new version. Just be sure to save your Bookmarks and a list of any extensions you want to use. Odds are, it will work ok now, as Chrome fixed the issues with opening .html files.

right, but noone answered me about using the old trusty FF 3.6?

nevermind, back to FF 15.0.1 🙁 I keep getting security alerts that my browser is ancient 🙁

People really need to stop responding to this poster.

They obviously are pretty damn clueless when it comes to computers and they would be better served giving their gaming laptop to someone who actually has a clue what they are doing.

Play nice now, kids...
