Hello,
I have an old Intel MoBo that says MB810FST on bootup. Currently it has a pair of 64MB DIMMs of SRAM. recently I came to possess a 256MB DDR DIMM. I am not sure if this board supports DDR memory or not. the memory stick says 400MHz, which I guess is the bus speed. I do not know what bus speed the 810FST board supports. can someone tell me whether I should use the new DDR with this board? will it cause any harm?
thanks.

Simply put... Nope.
You'll need SDRAM, or buy a Via motherboard that supports DDR ram and those older PIII, Celeron's.

810 is a sd-ram chipset, you cannot even install the ddr as it uses a differet slot-type. So forcing in into the mobo will cause harm ;) (would either break mobo, ram or both). The 810 chipset can use 100 and 133Mhz sd-ram (I think, cannot really remember as it's a long time since I worked with them)

The ram saying 400Mhz probably means it is ddr400/pc3200, it runs 200Mhz times 2 because it's ddr (double data rate)
